BOP & vyzn partnership: Automated summer thermal insulation verification for buildings

BOP and vyzn have entered into a strategic partnership. The goal of the collaboration is to offer BOP's summer thermal insulation verification according to SIA 180 directly and automatically via the vyzn platform.

Given rising summer temperatures and modern architecture with large glass surfaces, demonstrating summer thermal insulation is becoming increasingly crucial for occupant comfort. Dynamic building simulation is key to precisely analysing whether a building will remain pleasantly cool even on hot days without active cooling, preventing overheating.

The collaboration with vyzn aims to optimise planning and verification processes for architects, planners, and general contractors. The building data already available on the vyzn platform is used by the BOP systems to automatically generate the standard-compliant report.

Automated summer thermal insulation verification for greater efficiency and consistency

The BOP connection to the vyzn platform will enable automated creation of the proof of summer thermal insulation. Thanks to vyzn's AI, a building model is converted into a simulation-capable model. Via an API interface, the BOP systems then access the 3D model and all relevant building data, perform the simulation, generate the standard-compliant report fully automatically, and transmit the results back to the vyzn platform. This eliminates both the considerable effort required to create a simulable model and the manual data entry – making the planning process more efficient, reducing manual effort, and significantly increasing data consistency.

A sound basis for planning decisions

The integration will enable an early and precise assessment of summer thermal insulation based on a dynamic building simulation. This will provide a reliable basis for further planning decisions and contribute to meeting the required occupant comfort.
